Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, Indiana law requires all public schools to implement a bell-to-bell personal wireless device policy.

We’ve summarized the new expectations in the graphic below. Please take a moment to review it with your student before the first day of school so everyone is prepared for a successful year.

At KMS personal wireless devices—including cell phones, smartwatches, tablets, and similar devices—must be turned off and stored in students’ assigned lockers from the first bell to the last bell of the school day.
