π The Purdue University Police Department recently celebrated several important milestones.
Officer Kyle Cates was sworn in as the department's newest officer, Officer Zach Waltz was recognized with the Top Cop Award for his commitment to OWI enforcement and K-9 Mocca officially retired after nine years of dedicated service.

2026-27 parking permits are now available for Purdue faculty, staff and Purdue Research Foundation permit holders.
Current annual permits remain valid through Aug. 15, 2026.
Faculty and staff can renew their permits through the online parking portal. Information about permit options, renewal instructions and parking resources is available on the Faculty and Staff Permits webpage.

π§ Road Closure
A portion of South Russell Street near the Nursing and Pharmacy Education Building construction site will close June 15 and is expected to remain closed through mid-August.
Access to the parking lot for Lilly Hall of Life Sciences and the Life Science Plant and Soils Laboratory will be maintained during the closure.
Motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists should use caution in the area, obey posted signs and plan alternate routes when possible.

"C" permits for the 2026-27 academic year will be available soon.
Eligible graduate and professional students may begin purchasing permits June 11, with remaining permits opening to undergraduate students June 30.
