Spring Traditions 04/21/2014

American students from Purdue Christian Campus House (PCCH) hosted Perspectives with a home-cooked dinner and Easter Egg Hunt. We enjoyed coloring and decorating eggs, and other popular tradition in many American families. Then, everyone was divided into teams to search for hidden eggs & candy treats.

Making Career Moves 04/19/2014

Darshini Render, Career Services Consultant for International Students, told us about CCO services for finding internships, summer employment, and career employment. Questions about required work authorizations – specifically OPT and CPT – were also discussed.

Ultamte Frisbee at the CoRec 04/19/2014

Ultimate Frisbee is a fun and challenging sport that will keep you "on your toes." At Perspectives, we learned Frisbee techniques and the rules of Ultimate Frisbee. We were able to put our learning to use by scrimmaging.

Perspectives: Super Bowl Party at the Musser's Home 02/03/2014

Even if you’re not a football fan, attending a Super Bowl Party is the thing to do on Super Bowl Sunday. Roundtrip transportation and dinner was provided at the home of Brian and Karen Musser in West Lafayette. Brian is the Chief Financial Officer for Purdue Federal Credit Union. We meet new friends and experienced the “fan”-tastic tradition of the Super Bowl!

We visited the West Lafayette home of one of Purdue staff – Joyce Roosz, Insurance Manager for PUSH, Purdue Student Health Center. Free dinner from Noodles & Co. was provided by International Programs (vegetarian items included). We mixed and mingled with new friends and met a member of Purdue’s excellent staff at her home.

Salt and Light International Harvest Party 11/05/2013
