PHSI’s master’s student US Army Major Patrick Glass has attended the 2017 AnyLogic Conference hosted in Baltimore, Maryland.
Major Glass presented PHSI’s active shooter research objectives with a concentration on the law enforcement’s role in mitigating such situation. Major Glass also presented POD, Point of Distribution, research to reduce medication distribution error to the patient by comparing asynchronous and synchronous training methods.

In the event of a public health emergency, dispensing medication to large amounts of people could be crucial. That's why the Tippecanoe County Health Department is staying prepared with special training.

POD (Point of Distribution) exercise has been conducted on November 9, 2017, at Purdue Recreation & Wellness Center to collect data between asynchronous and synchronous training.
Tippecanoe County Health Department, Purdue College of Pharmacy, Purdue University College of Health and Human Sciences, Purdue Polytechnic Institute faculty members, staffs, and students have participated and contributed to today's exercise.
