We are excited to offer this program to our community once again. This year, Versova has sponsored the Chapter Success grant. They are located in Johnstown and produce eggs for the entire country. Due to their generous support of the Ohio FFA Foundation, we are able to pay for the processing of multiple hogs from the Coshocton County Fair.

We are always looking for anyone who would like to help by donating money for the processing/ purchasing of hogs or donating hogs from the fair themselves. If you are interested in helping, please reach out by messaging us here or calling the school at 740-545-6345.

We appreciate your support over the years and look forward to helping more community members this fall.

The Ohio FFA Foundation is still taking donations for the Blue Jackets program. This program allows students who cannot afford a jacket to have the chance to apply for one. You can donate to a specific chapter or to the fund in general. Each year we have students who have received a jacket from this program. The impact of having an FFA jacket means that these students feel like they truly belong to the chapter and have something that is theirs. Please follow the attached link and let us know if you have any questions.

We had a great time shooting at the River View FFA Trap shoot! The Ridgewood #1 team took home fourth place. Justin Mizer, Jordan Mizer, Clyde Bintz, Mason Wilson and Cadence Endlich made up this team. Ridgewood team #2 took home fifth place. It was made up of Carson Hershberger, Micah Hershberger, Carter Osborne, Parker Lewis, and Jaxon Huff. We want to thank Coshocton Sportsmen’s for hosting and River View FFA for putting it all together. It was a great way to spend a Saturday morning before the rain!

The Ridgewood FFA Chapter had the opportunity to help with the 4th Grade Ag Day at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds. Our members worked with local fourth-grade students to teach them about agriculture, livestock, and where their food comes from. It was a fun and educational day that allowed our FFA members to share their knowledge and encourage younger students to learn more about agriculture.

The Ridgewood FFA needs to clean out our freezers and make more room for other animals at our school farm, so we are going to be having a sale all week next week.

There will be ground beef from cattle finished on the school farm for $6 a pound, and ground sausage from local hogs for $3 a pound. We also have plenty of layer pullets for sale at $20 a bird.
