Lambda Pi Eta - Purdue University

Lambda Pi Eta - Purdue University Purdue will have an active chapter of Lambda Pi Eta in the Fall of 2011.

Lambda Pi Eta, Gamma Zeta chapter, at Purdue is a communication honors society that recognizes, fosters, and rewards outstanding scholastic achievement in communication. Lambda Pi Eta represents what Aristotle described in his book, Rhetoric, as the three ingredients of persuasion: Logos (Lambda) meaning logic, Pathos (Pi) relating to emotion, and Ethos (Eta) defined as character credibility and ethics. We are currently seeking potential members (juniors and seniors) and offering associate membership to alumni and faculty. If you are a freshman or sophomore, we will have events throughout the semester you'll be invited to attend. Spread the word to your classmates to ensure Lambda Pi Eta thrives as a strong and well-reputed organization! To be eligible for full and active membership, you must have been admitted as a communication major, have completed 45 semester hours of undergraduate credits, have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0, have completed a minimum of 9 semester hours in communication courses, and have a minimum GPA of 3.25 in the courses towards the communication major and concentration.

This week we shine our spotlight on Grace Van Orman, account coordinator on our Purdue Center for Regional Development (PCRD) account! Grace is a senior in PR, and says she is most looking forward to “gaining hands-on, applicable experience in public relations”.

Outside of Boiler Com, Grace also shines as the treasurer of Lambda Pi Eta - Purdue University, Purdue University College of Liberal Arts Dean’s Ambassador, Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Ambassador, as well as serving as the Marketing Coordinator at Pooch Palace Resort.
