In addition to obtaining a well-rounded Liberal Arts education, Theatre majors at Purdue are prepared to compete for entry into graduate programs or to pursue a professional career. The Department of Theatre is housed in the beautiful Yue-Kong Pao Hall of Visual and Performing Arts, where students benefit from state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. BA in Theatre with concentrations in Acting and Design and Production
BA in Sound for the Performing Arts
Minor - Theatre
Certificate - Acting: Communication through Performance
Certificate - Lighting
Our Mainstage Production series consists of 4 ticketed shows presented between September and April. Productions involve a mix of undergraduate, graduate, faculty, and guest artists who serve as directors, designers, actors, and technicians. The Purdue Department of Theatre also produces workshops in the Shrader Workshop series.
