Are you ready for a musical?!?! On the 21st we are having an audition workshop for our spring production of Amelie. We will go over what the audition days will look like, what we are looking for out of specific characters, and be there to answer any of your specific questions. If you're interested please come on through! It will be in room 2154 in Pao Hall from 5:30-7:30.

A huge shoutout to the LGBTQ Center Welcome and Resource Fair! Faculty, staff, and students, including Costume Shop Manager Tony Sirk, Professor Joel Ebarb, and Visiting Assistant Professor Devin Scheef, attended to share a night of community and fun. Follow the Purdue University LGBTQ Center to keep up with all the events.

Opening our new season of shows is THE HUNCHBACK OF SEVILLE. The designers and company come together to share insights and ideas about what is to come with this epic play. Explore the new world as the play tells it from September 24th to October 4th.

Alumni Spotlight: John Chung (Theatre Sound for the Performing Arts, '21)

Purdue Sound for the Performing Arts alum John Chung continues to push the limits of live audio as Lead Audio Engineer for the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps — where a full professional sound system has to be deployed, mixed, and struck in minutes, with zero tolerance for problems, often multiple times a day on tour.
John's work with the Bluecoats audio team was recently featured on Dallas Taylor's YouTube channel in "The Insane Logistics Behind Drum Corps' Sound System," a behind-the-scenes look at how a competitive-level audio rig comes together on a football field — and disappears just as fast.

Spotlight on Kori King

Kori joins us from Sparta, Missouri, and has been involved in theatre since 2023. In that time, she has already performed in 10 musicals and plays, with her most recent production being Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.

Kori chose Purdue for its many opportunities to grow as an artist and take the next step toward her ultimate dream—performing on Broadway!
