Purdue and Indiana University MS-MBA in Food and Agribusiness Management

If you had orange juice this morning, there's a decent chance it came from Brazil. More specifically, from Cutrale, a company that processes over 3 million tons of oranges a year and ships juice around the world in tanks built directly into the hulls of ships. Wild, right?

It's been an engaging and productive week on Purdue's campus for our MS-MBA in Food and Agribusiness Management cohorts!

Year 1 and Year 2 students spent their residency applying business principles to real-world challenges in food and agriculture. Teams developed business cases using data analysis to define and solve key challenges, presenting their work at week's end to a panel of Purdue ag economic legends Mike Boehlje, Otto Doering and Dave Downey.

Groups also examined international trade disputes that advanced through the World Trade Organization’s Dispute Settlement Mechanism, analyzing the arguments, outcomes and implications for global agribusiness.

Through each project, students demonstrated the effort, collaboration and critical thinking that define the MS-MBA experience – connecting business theory with practical application in food and agribusiness.

Thanks to Tom Farms for hosting the 2023 University of Austral MBA in Agribusiness International Residency. Pretty cool to be on “the other side” of an international residency….to see the impact Indiana agriculture, both people and places, have on those visiting our state.
