Purdue University Cheerleading

Purdue Cheer offers coed and all-girl teams. The co-ed team averages 10-14 males and 10-14 females. The all-girl team is 24-32 females.

Both coed and all-girl cheer year round for Boilermaker athletics and compete at UCA College Nationals. The Purdue University cheerleading program consists of 50-60 hard working student-athletes. Both teams cheer at home and away football games, home volleyball matches, home men's & women's basketball games and all post season bask

etball tournaments. To help us prepare for the season, both teams have summer practice commitments along with UCA College Spirit Camp in July/August. In addition to our commitment to Purdue athletics as cheerleaders for the sports teams listed above, the program's goal is to compete at UCA College Nationals which takes place in mid-January every year. Purdue cheerleading is fully funded through Purdue athletics. Benefits of being a Purdue cheerleader include:

• Earn an athletic varsity letter jacket after your first year on the squad. You are recognized as a varsity athlete by the John Purdue Club and the Varsity P Club.
• FREE tutoring for any classes – most schools you have to pay for a tutor. Here at Purdue it’s provided.
• Our own academic advisor.
• Our own strength and conditioning coach.
• Athletic trainer at EVERY practice and competition.
• NO fundraising – the Purdue athletic department pays for everything (uniform, megs, poms, warm-up/practice gear, travel gear, shoes).
• Included in the athletic contract with Nike.
• Our trip to UCA college nationals in Orlando, Florida is fully covered by the athletic department. (travel, lodging and food).
• Free food during the halftime of all football games and beverages during the halftime of all volleyball and basketball games.
• If you have a vehicle, access to a student-athlete parking pass.
• Access to the student-athlete academic center.
• Practice on a full 9-panel regular floor.
• Practice once a week at a local all-star gym to tumble on a spring floor.
• Book wavier opportunity.
• Cheer for Big Ten games ... be seen nationally on the Big Ten Network and many other nationally televised games.
• Frequent travel opportunities to away football games, bowl game, Big Ten and NCAA men’s and women’s basketball tournaments.
• Per diem for all meals on all trips.
• Access to team physician and nutritionist.
• Laundry service for post-game and practices.
• Parent’s Day gathering in the fall.
• Attend UCA College Camp

Our families, alumni, friends, and fans are incredible!! With 3️⃣2️⃣9️⃣ donors our program dominated as the athletic team with the most number of donors!! (earning us bonus💲) The passion and pride is like no other!! Thank you for your support yesterday during Purdue Day of Giving and all year long!

April 29th is Purdue Day of Giving! We are EVER GRATEFUL for the support we’ve received over the years through this 24-day-of-giving!! We have continuously won the athletic bonus money since 2022 with your dedication to earning us the most donors!!

With these funds raised we have been able to continue traditions and elevate the Purdue Cheer experience! We have a goal to raise $18,000 and the bonus money!!

You can donate all day on the 29th. We encourage to make multiple small donations to hit the MOST DONORS goal once again.

Our power hours are at 8am-9am and 6pm-7pm. There is a live leaderboard to check our athletics ranking and funds raised!
