Senior Spotlight: Thaddeus Felosak 🚂

Next senior up to highlight is Thaddeus, also a four (non-consecutive) year crew member! Before coming to Purdue, Thaddeus rowed all through high school. He joined the team in 2021 as a novice man, competing at ACRA in the First Novice 8+. After three years as a varsity man, Thaddeus most recently finished his career as a Boilermaker in the Men's Second Varsity 8+, winning a National Championship! We are grateful for Thaddeus' dedication and commitment to our team, and he will be dearly missed!

Senior Spotlight : Jane Billa 💛

Next on our list of seniors to highlight is Jane, a three-year crew member! Starting out as a rower, she has rowed both on both port and starboard side, but finished out her senior year stepping up to the role of coxswain for the Novice Men's Squad. Jane has also been on the officer's board for two years in a row now, serving under the role of Historian in 2024-2025 and Vice President in 2025-2026. Jane's contributions to the team have made such a large impact on not only the legacy of our team, but also on our local community through her work as Vice President!

Senior Spotlight : Keval Wagher 🚂

This next spotlight highlights Keval Wagher, the recipient of the Most Valuable Oarsman award this season! Keval, a four-year crew member, has been one of the most dedicated varsity men that our team has ever seen. Having been stroke seat of the Men's Varsity 8+ for the past few years, Keval has led his team through many successful regattas.

While sad to see him go, we wish Keval the best of luck in his future endeavors!

Senior Spotlight : Makayla Malandra 💛

Our next spotlight highlights Makayla Malandra, another four-year crew member! With experience rowing in high school, Makayla came to Purdue and has been a dedicated member and important contributor since her freshman year. This past season, she rowed in the Varsity Women's 4+. She has also served two consecutive terms on our executive board fulfilling the role of Webmaster, from 2024-2026!

Makayla has left such a bright and positive lasting impact on our team, and will be missed so dearly by all. Her contributions to the website and the improvements she made will impact our community for years to come.

Senior Spotlight : Nate Hiatt 🚂

Our first senior spotlight to kick off the summer is four-year crew member, Nate Hiatt! Nate has spent 3 years as a member of the varsity men's squad, and most recently coxed the Men's Varsity 8+ to win the gold at the ACRA National Championship! As well, Nate has served our executive board two years in a row, holding the position of Secretary in 2024-2025 and Vice President 2025-2026.

Although it is hard to sum up everything Nate has done for our team and community in few words, we value all the work he has contributed and he will be deeply missed!
