We are writing a book on the history of women in engineering at Purdue. The story begins with Martha Dicks Stevens Mills, who was the first woman to earn an engineering degree at Purdue in 1897. Isa Hollenstein, BME ‘26, is our last senior graduate highlight this spring. Isa has been a part of the WELink Leadership Team for the past 3 years where she has served the team with integrity and empathy.

Following graduating, Isa will be pursuing a professional masters in biomedical engineering at Purdue. To incoming and current Purdue students, Isa advises,

“Have confidence in your abilities. It will take you far not only in your classes, but networking in your professional life as well. ”

Soph Jarc, IE ‘26, is our second senior graduate highlight this spring. Soph has been a part of the WELink Leadership Team for the past 4 years where she has been a reliable mentor and standout leader.

Following graduation, Soph will be working as an ERP Implementation Consultant for Crowe. Some advice Soph shared for incoming and current Purdue students is,
