We recently had the honor of celebrating a beloved faculty member as he prepares for retirement. Professor Jan Cover officially is retiring at the end of this semester, concluding an incredible career that has shaped the Purdue Philosophy community since 1988.
Known to generations of students simply as “Cover,” he leaves behind a legacy of rigorous scholarship, thoughtful teaching, and deep intellectual curiosity. The strong turnout at his April 15 reception—bringing together students, alumni, faculty, and friends—was a true reflection of the lasting impact he has made.
Wishing Professor Cover all the best in his next chapter!
