BGM's Bands did a great job on our final concert of the year. Here are some pictures from the awards concert on Tuesday

Reminder that tomorrow is the Spring Concert. Below is the schedule.

5:30pm 6th graders arrive, put instruments together in band room
6:00pm - Sixth Grade Band and Eighth Grade Jazz Ensemble
6:15pm - 7th Grade Band arrive, put instruments together in cafeteria
6:45pm - Seventh Grade Jazz Band and Seventh Grade Band
7:00pm - 8th Grade Band Arrive, put instruments together in the band room
7:30pm - Eighth Grade Jazz Ensemble and Eighth Grade Band

Parents and Students,

Our Winter Concert will be held next Tuesday, December 5, here at the BGMS Gymnasium. Parents and students will enter through the doors near the cafeteria (Door B-6) at their designated times. Sixth and Eighth Graders will store their cases in the band room while the Seventh Grade Band will store their cases in the cafeteria. Once their instruments are put together students will move to the Gymnasium.

Students are to wear their full uniform including their band shirt, black dress pants and black dress shoes. Ladies have the option to wear a skirt as long as it is below the knees. Appropriate hose or socks are to be worn with the skirt.

Sixth Grade and Seventh Grade students and parents are to exit through the Griffin wing doors to the left as you exit the gymnasium to allow for better traffic flow.

The concert is as follows:

6:00 - Sixth Grade Band with the Eighth Grade Jazz Ensemble - Sixth Graders are to be in the band room ready to go at 5:30

6:45 - Seventh Grade Band with the Seventh Grade Jazz Band - Seventh Grades are to be in the cafeteria ready to go at 6:15

7:30 - Eighth Grade Band with the Eighth Grade Jazz Ensemble - Eighth Grades are to be in the cafeteria ready to go at 7:00

Thank you all for supporting our students in their musical endeavors. They will perform well and it should be an exciting concert.

Hello Parents,
This is just a reminder that Solo and Ensemble forms have been passed out and need to be turned in. All forms are due on Monday after Thanksgiving break.

Parents,
Just a reminder that the application window for All-Region Band will close tomorrow evening, September 8, at 11:59 pm. If your student is interested the two of you must get online and enter the information before tomorrow night.

Friday is 7th and 8th grade Band Contest. We are still looking for more chaperones for 7th and 8th grade bands. Please contact Mr Hopkins or Mr Nicolia

We want to give a big congratulations to Seventh and Eighth Grade Jazz band that both received Gold’s at Contest yesterday. We would like to thank Paul Wnethold and Robert Peck for acting as chaperons on the trip. Also thank you to Kim Schoonmaker for helping Mr Hopkins navigating the instrument truck. Finally, a very special thank you to Helen Hicks-Wenthold for picking up the pizza and bringing it to our students for their dinner.
