📣 Last Friday, the JMK Lab in Beering Hall welcomed visitors for its Open House, spotlighting student research from Purdue’s Sociology and Political Science Departments. From policy analysis to social justice initiatives, a wide array of projects were on display. Guests explored the creative and analytical work shaping today’s conversations in the social sciences. Congratulations to all the students whose hard work and innovation made the event such a success!

📢 Last week, Pi Sigma Alpha and the Department of Political Science hosted its Spring Banquet. The evening honored the outstanding achievements of our Pi Sigma Alpha members and recognized the dedication of our incredible faculty. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this memorable event!

Congratulations to junior Priya McNamara on presenting her co-authored paper with Professor Eric Waltenburg, “The Experiential Profiles of U.S. Circuit Court Judges,” at the MPSA Conference. The paper examines the similarities and differences in the professional trajectories of circuit court judges prior to their appointments to the federal bench.

Beyond her work on this project, Priya is pursuing a major in Computer Science with minors in Political Science and Arabic Language and Cultures.

Well done, Priya, on this impressive accomplishment.
