What a FUN first day of school! 🎉📚 We couldn’t think of a better way to kick off a brand-new year than with smiles, laughter, and plenty of fun!

Our Coyotes started the day with some amazing activities, including:

There were big smiles everywhere as our students got to reconnect with friends, meet new teachers, and make some special first-day memories. ❤️

🐺❤️ Meet Our Interventionists, Instructional Coach & Special Area Teachers! ❤️🐺

Our students are lucky to have an incredible team of educators who help make learning at Copper Canyon exciting, engaging, and meaningful in so many different ways! ✨

📚 Our Interventionists provide targeted support to help students build skills, grow their confidence, and reach those “I DID IT!” moments!

🌟 Our Instructional Coach works alongside our teachers to support great instruction, bring new ideas to the classroom, and help our educators continue to grow and learn.

🎨📖🏃‍♀️🎭🔬 And our Special Area Teachers give our Coyotes the opportunity to discover talents and interests beyond the traditional classroom! Our students get to explore Library, PE, Theater, Art, and STEM—building creativity, confidence, curiosity, teamwork, and a love for learning along the way!

These educators bring so much energy, creativity, and heart to our school every day. They help our students discover what they love, try something new, and see all that they are capable of becoming. ❤️

We are so excited to introduce the incredible team of educators and specialists who support our students at Copper Canyon! 🐺✨

Our Special Education Team works tirelessly to make sure every student feels seen, supported, included, and empowered to reach their full potential. From communication and academics to social-emotional well-being and individualized support, this team plays such an important role in helping our Coyotes thrive! ❤️

We are especially excited to welcome several new members to our Copper Canyon family! 🎉

🗣️ Our Speech Team — helping students find their voice and build confidence in communication, including two new members joining our team - Casey Ingram and April Murphy.

💛 Our School Counselor, Macy Baird & School Psychologist, Thomas Ranck — both new to Copper Canyon and ready to support our students academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally.

📚 Our Resource Teachers — providing individualized instruction and support to help every learner grow, including one new member who is joining our team, Jackie Kelsall!

🎓✨ Meet Our 6th Grade Team! ✨🎓

Sixth grade is a BIG deal at Copper Canyon! 🐺❤️ It’s the final year of elementary school—a year filled with growing, learning, making memories, and getting ready for the next big adventure. Our sixth graders have come so far, and we can’t wait to see all they accomplish this year!

Our incredible 6th grade teachers know just how special this year is. They work hard to make their students’ final elementary school year meaningful, memorable, and full of moments they’ll carry with them long after they leave Copper Canyon. From celebrating accomplishments to challenging students to reach their potential, they make sure our sixth graders finish their elementary journey feeling confident and ready for what comes next. 🌟

Fifth grade brings a little more independence, a lot more responsibility, and SO many exciting opportunities to grow! Our teachers are ready to help students tackle new challenges, ask thoughtful questions, work together, and discover the joy that comes from pushing themselves a little further. 💡✏️
