TEACHER FEATURE: MR. PARKIN

This week, we are excited to recognize Mr. Parkin 💚 (House of Isibindi), our K-3 Resource Teacher!

Mr. Parkin is a kind, patient, and dedicated educator who truly takes the time to understand the individual needs of his students. He works hard to help every student feel supported, capable, and successful.

One of Mr. Parkin's greatest strengths is his collaborative spirit. He is always willing to work alongside teachers, staff, and families to do what is best for students. He is a wonderful team player and an important part of our Hayden Peak family.

Outside of school, Mr. Parkin is happily married to his wonderful wife, Amanda, and they are excitedly awaiting the arrival of their first Baby Parkin! We are so excited for this new adventure for their family!

Thank you, Mr. Parkin, for the patience, kindness, teamwork, and heart you bring to Hayden Peak each day. You are making a difference in the lives of our Hawks, and we are so grateful to have you on our team!

Behind every classroom, every smile, every encouraging word, and every moment of learning is a faculty and staff member who cares deeply about our Hawks.

What an AMAZING first day back at Hayden Peak!

Today was one of those days that reminded me just how special our school community truly is. Throughout the building, I watched teachers intentionally build relationships, teach and model expectations, practice procedures, and most importantly jump right into meaningful instruction. Our students were welcomed into classrooms where they felt supported, valued, and ready to learn.

A huge shoutout to our amazing AP for creating our SWOOP and bringing our ESPs together to practice alongside teachers and their classes. That preparation made such a difference! From classrooms to hallways to the lunchroom, even with our brand-new kindergartners. Our first day ran smoothly.

They say it takes a village to raise a child, and I truly believe I have the BEST village around.

I am so proud of our faculty and staff and the love, patience, energy, and dedication they poured into our Hawks today. There is so much that happens behind the scenes to make a first day successful, and our team showed up for our students and for one another.

Feeling incredibly grateful to lead such a wonderful school and to be surrounded by people who believe in our students and each other.

What a way to start the year!
