If you have ever been a recruiter, you know there is a vibe during the season as you travel. Our vibe has been filled with sunshine, university bookstores, fresh swag and lots of color. The smells of catered and fast food. Caffeine pulsing through our veins. Waterbottle in hand. Comfy shoes on feet.
We love this time of year and can't wait to meet you while we are out on our next recruiting adventure.
Up next, BYU Education Career Fair and Utah State University Career.

Have you listened to the Jordan School District Supercast?
If not, you have been missing out on stories about the good things happening in education and the amazing people working for Jordan School District, like our very own Alexa Byrd, Kindergarten teacher at Columbia Elementary.

We met Alexa two years ago while recruiting at the Utah Tech University's Teaching Hiring Event. We were blown away by this intelligent, gregarious, and compassionate candidate who did not shy away from asking the question about whether her story would reasonate in Jordan. When she was offered and accepted a position with Keith Klein and his amazing team at Columbia we knew it was going to be a great year at Columbia.

At her onboarding, another new hire for Kindergarten at Columbia was onboarding as well. They immediately began chatting and the excitement grew and grew.

Alexa supported our media coverage at New Educator Induction for the 2024-2025 school year and was featured in the City Journal.

Alexa is one of those people when you meet them you are never the same. Much like Taylor Swift saying Travis Kelce is a human exclamation point-we feel the same about Alexa. She is the embodiment of being a human exclamation point.

This podcast episode highlights how she embraces the motto of, "why are you trying to fit in, when you are born to stand out." Take a listen, but be forewarned you might cry.
