Why single leg train? 🤔

There's actually a lot of really great reasons relating to strength and performance. But the main one for me is injury prevention.

Most of the time injuries in the lower half of the body happen when taking off of a single leg. A lot of athletes won't want to train unilaterally because it frustrates them to rely on balance and not go so heavy. The truth is that if you don't do unilateral training, you're setting yourself up for huge backslides in the future in the form of injuries.

Since most injuries happen with when using single arms or single legs, the best way to prevent/reduce them is to train your arms or legs individually and get them to developed the stability needed to resist injury 🤷🏽‍♀️.

We could argue all day on whether single leg training would lead to muscle gains... (It does... For a lot of reasons), but even if all you focus on is injury prevention - not getting an injury makes you able to train harder and longer, which leads to more gains and progress in the future.
