There is one word you are using in your life that is creating shame and keeping you stuck.

That's the world 'should'.

When you can figure out how to replace it and what to replace it with, everything will shift in your life.

I teach you all about it on this week's podcast, Intentional Living with Tanya Hale, #425 Greatest Hits - Should & Shame.

See you there!

You can never go wrong learning to talk to yourself in a way that creates momentum rather than shame and guilt.

In our home my husband and I call it the ‘sh’ word, because should is a word we want to stay away from.
Not only does it create shame and annoyance from unmet expectations, but it also makes us incredibly judgmental of the person we are ‘shoulding’, including ourselves.
‘Should’ doesn’t inspire, it doesn’t love, it isn’t kind, and it doesn’t move us forward to our next best version.
Instead, it keeps us stuck in indecision, not doing, and not not doing.
Just guilting ourselves for not moving.
Learning to extract this word from your thinking and speaking will make a huge difference in how you think and feel about yourself and others.
If you like this concept, you’ll love the podcast.

Sometimes being unkind and hurting another person is our greatest teacher. In this episode, I share an experience where I did just that, and yet, with some self confrontation and reflection, I was able to learn something very important about my motivations. When I feel responsible for other peoples’ experiences, I can get impatient and judgmental, and that’s when I can become unkind. When I focus on just feeling love for others, then I feel more patient and accepting, and it is far easier for me to focus on validating their struggle and being empathetic. Take away the responsibility to fix, and I can lean into love so much easier. That’s what this week’s podcast is all about. I know you will find something here that speaks to you and shows you something about yourself and how you can live more in alignment with who you really want to be. Check out my podcast Intentional Living with Tanya Hale #423 to listen.

Sometimes being unkind and hurting another person is our greatest teacher.

In this episode I share an experience where I did just that, and yet, with some self-confrontation and reflection I was able to learn something very important about my motivations.

When I feel responsible for other peoples’ experiences, I can get impatient and judgmental, and that’s when I can become unkind.

When I focus on just feeling love for others, then I feel more patient and accepting and it’s far easier for me to focus on validating their struggle and being empathetic.

That’s what this week’s podcast episode is all about.

I know you will find something here that speaks to you and shows you something about yourself and how you can live more in alignment with who you really want to be.
