The West Jordan High Story

Since 1981, West Jordan High School has been the home of excellence and tradition. Located in the heart of West Jordan City, it is the home of the Jaguars, 1,800 students representing a multitude of diversity.

This comprehensive high school supports a wide array of options both in and out of school. Academically, West Jordan offers Advanced Placement Courses and Concurrent Enrollment Courses, which can offer college credit, along with honors, technical and trade courses. Our building houses functional Auto Mechanics, Auto Body and Paint, and Diesel Mechanics workshops, a working Pre-School and a restaurant, all preparing students for careers after high school.

For years, West Jordan has been the home of a robust Performing Arts Department. Choir, both Band and Orchestra, Dance and Theater programs offer opportunities for a wide variety of students to perform and discover their talents in many productions and concerts throughout the year.

The Jaguars are competitive on the playing field as well, with a variety of sports teams who have won region and state championships. Our teams are known for their sportsmanship and their work ethic as coaches teach their charges to succeed not only in their sport, but in life as well.

West Jordan is proud to offer extra-curricular clubs and activities that help students enjoy being teens, but prepare them to be contributing adults as well. Students may participate in school publications, debate, business and trade organizations, or student-sponsored clubs that serve the school and community.

West Jordan students are particularly proud of our fund-raising efforts during our charity season, M.A.D. Jags, during which teams of students representing all areas of the school go out to serve the community while collecting donations for a worthy charity.

Our administration, faculty and staff are dedicated professionals, educated and trained in their specialties and dedicated to providing a successful high school experience to every student.
