🎉🏆 Congratulations to Mr. Scott Grubb on being named Ashe County Schools’ District-Wide Principal of the Year! 🏆🎉

We are so proud to celebrate Mr. Grubb for his outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to the students, families, and staff of Westwood Elementary School. His positive impact is felt throughout our entire district and community, and this recognition is so well deserved!

One colleague had this to say: “Mr. Grubb has continued the legacy that Mrs. Holden left behind. He has put some things into place to honor her memory. He has done a great job of maintaining high expectations, and has been very innovative with scheduling. Through it all, Westwood has continued to perform at a high level. Kudos to Mr. Grubb!”

Principal Grubb was surprised with the exciting news today and celebrated alongside the amazing WWES team (L-R): Assistant Principal Amanda Halsey, School Counselor Amanda Bloomer, School Nurse Libby Matheson, Data Manager/Bookkeeper Kayla Moore, Administrative Assistant/Payroll Katie Eggers, and School Resource Officer Katelynne Hollandsworth. 💙💛
