Our hearts are grieving for our Smith family, Kaitlin, Landrey, Olivia, Harlow, Amanda, and all the family and friends whose lives were championed by our dear Jennifer Pasley-Smith. Jennifer was a constant presence of support, encouragement, and enthusiasm in our dance family. A talented dancer and teacher herself, she shared her love of dance with the entire community, and was a true champion in her commitment to elevate those around her. She always saw the good in everyone, and encouraged that goodness out of them, like great teachers do. It has been a season of mourning for our dance family, but one of immense gratitude and celebration, too. We are blessed for all the shining examples of Christ’s Love that surround us, and know that Jennifer’s light will continue to shine in all she loved.

We love you, Jennifer. Thank you. ❤️

Thank you to all of our new and returning students who have submitted online registration forms for our 2026/2027 HCPAA Dance Season!

We've had to make a few small scheduling adjustments based on enrollment, which has delayed our confirmation emails, but rest assured we have received your registrations. You can expect to receive your enrollment breakdowns via email over the coming weekend.

Our hearts are grieving over the sudden loss of our beloved Kelly Barr. Words can’t express how much Kelly meant to us. Her radiant and generous spirit, her selfless and caring heart, her refreshing humor and down-to-earth grit were just a few of the many characteristics Kelly shared with us daily. Her smile brightened the way wherever she went, and she made everyone she met feel like a friend. “What’s mine is yours” was a credo she lived by, and no one was a stranger in her presence. We will miss her beyond measure. All of us send our heartfelt prayers of healing and consolation to Kelly’s family and friends, especially our dearest Emery and Landrey. May our Lord and Savior wrap us in His Loving Arms, as He now embraces His dearest Kelly. 🙏

We’re so proud to celebrate HCPAA student and senior Alayna Lovell on an incredible accomplishment!

Alayna recently spent four weeks at Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina, attending the prestigious North Carolina Governor’s School for Dance. She trained in jazz and contemporary dance with a strong focus on choreography and improvisation alongside just 16 other dancers selected for the program.

This past Thursday, Alayna performed in the program’s final showcase, “The Pursuit of Time,” appearing in five pieces, some of which she choreographed herself.

Congratulations, Alayna, on this amazing achievement! Your hard work, creativity, and dedication continue to inspire us, and we couldn’t be more proud of all you’ve accomplished.
