Extra work with Green Day in Hollywood 🌟

We’re making a movie... but more on that later!
Right now, we need some extras. Live in LA? Over 18? Free on March 25th?

Come hang with us at The Palladium and be part of a New Year’s Eve concert scene for New Years Rev (said movie)! We’ll be playing a few songs—a LOT of times (and maybe a few others). Movies take time, so plan to stay for 10-11 hours. But don’t worry, we’ve got sandwiches and drinks covered.

Sound good? Hit the link to sign up and get all the details. See you there! https://www.universe.com/events/new-years-rev-filming-the-palladium-tickets-561H4G

♥️In Loving Memory of John Grant, Hollywood High Sheik - Class of 1978♥️

It is with great sadness to announce that John Grant, a proud and dedicated Hollywood Sheik, passed away this morning on November 21, 2024.

John was a beloved member of the Hollywood High School community, contributing greatly to alumni events and traditions. He was part of the team that produced the memorable Hart-to-Hart Sock Hop and the 100-year celebration benefiting Hollywood High.

After graduating HHS, John pursued Technical Theatre studies at the University of Redlands and the Johnston Center for Integrative Studies. He built a successful career as a Location Manager, with credits on films such as The Prophecy (1995), Bio-Dome (1996), and The Majestic (2001), before retiring.

John’s legacy of love for his alma mater and dedication to the Hollywood community will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His contributions to Hollywood High’s enduring spirit will never be forgotten.

May his memory always be a blessing. 🙏

Rest in peace, John. Once a Sheik, always a Sheik. ♥️

Congratulations, Class of 2024! You're the 104th class from Hollywood High School to celebrate your graduation at the iconic Hollywood Bowl 🎓

In the spirit of graduation season, today’s salutes newly-diploma’d graduates everywhere. We’ve had the honor of hosting Hollywood High’s graduation since 1920. Judy Garland, Carol Burnett, and Rick Nelson are just some of the famous grads to have turned their tassels on the Bowl stage. Congratulations Class of 2013, no matter what stage you crossed!

🌟 Hollywood High Alumni - May Birthday: John Archer 🌟

Born Ralph Bowman on May 8, 1915, in Osceola, Nebraska, John Archer was a notable American actor with a prolific career in film, television, and radio; and proud alum of Hollywood High School and USC.

John Archer's journey to stardom began after moving to California at age five. His educational journey began at Hollywood High School in Los Angeles, where he developed an interest in acting. He then pursued higher education at the University of Southern California (USC), where he further honed his acting skills.

Archer initially aimed for a behind-the-camera career but found his calling in acting.

He honed his craft at the Ben Bard Playhouse and won a contract through the "Jesse Lasky's Gateway to Hollywood" radio contest, marking his official entry into Hollywood as "John Archer."

Archer's career flourished across film, TV, and radio from the 1930s to the 1960s. Notable film roles included "White Heat" (1949) and "Rock Around the Clock" (1956). On radio, he famously voiced Lamont Cranston in "The Shadow." His television appearances spanned popular shows like "Perry Mason," "Bonanza," and "The Untouchables."

Beyond his personal achievements, Archer's legacy lives on through his daughter, Anne Archer, who attended Marlborough High School, acclaimed for her roles in "Patriot Games” and was nominated for an Oscar, Golden Globe, and BAFTA for her role in “Fatal Attraction.” She starred in the movie “Hero at Large” with Hollywood High School’s very own John Ritter in 1980.

John Archer's dedication to his craft and his impact on the industry continue to inspire.

He passed away on December 3, 1999, but his contributions to entertainment remain unforgettable.
