Say Cheese! Preschool Picture Day is coming!

School photos will be taken on Monday, September 14. Keep an eye on your child’s backpack, order forms and additional details!

Important Note for Non-Monday Students:
If your child does not regularly attend preschool on Mondays, please bring them to school at 10:30 a.m. so they can have their photo taken and be included in the memories!

Countdown to Grandparents Day!
Little hands, big smiles, and the people who love them most! This Friday, we are celebrating the incredible grandparents and special friends who bless our little learners every day.

When: Friday, Sept. 5 at 9:30 AM
Where: Founders Hall
What to expect: A delicious breakfast in Founders Hall, quality time together, and a hands-on keepsake craft to remember the day.

We can't wait to see Founders Hall filled with love, laughter, and generational joy! Tag a grandparent who needs a reminder below!

Reminder: Back to School Night is almost here!
Essential partnership starts in the classroom. Join us Wednesday evening for Back to School Night at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Preschool! Meet your child’s teacher, explore their learning environment, and hear about our vision for a fantastic year of growth, discovery, and faith.

When: Wednesday, Sept. 9 | 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Where: 23838 Kittridge St., West Hills, CA (Go straight to your child's classroom)
Childcare: On-site childcare is provided so you can fully focus on the presentation.

This is a vital night for all preschool parents. We look forward to partnering with you this year!

Our office and Preschool will be closed Monday, September 7 in honor of Labor Day.
Labor Day is a day to pause, reflect, and celebrate the people whose effort keeps our communities and workplaces moving forward.
We hope everyone enjoys a safe and restful holiday. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday.

Celebrate Back to School Sunday with us on Aug 23 at 9:30 AM in the Sanctuary!
Bring your family and school bags for our Blessing of the Backpacks, a special prayer for our teachers, and a classroom dedication with Pastor Rod. Afterward, head to the patio for free treats and a bounce house for the kids!

The big day is almost here! We are so excited to welcome our little learners back for the first day of Preschool on Wednesday, August 12!

Here is everything you need to know for a smooth Day 1:

7:00 AM – Early Care Opens: Drop-off is available early if you need to head straight to work or can't stay for Chapel.

9:00 AM – Opening Chapel: All families are invited to gather, worship, and bless the new school year together!

Classroom Transition: After Chapel, our teachers will walk the students to their classrooms. We kindly ask parents to give hugs and say goodbyes at Chapel. Skipping the classroom walk-in helps our little ones build confidence and makes drop-off much easier on their hearts (and yours!). ❤️

Special Note: If your child isn't regularly scheduled for Wednesdays, please plan to take them home with you after Chapel concludes.

We can't wait to see those bright smiles on Wednesday!
