We are thrilled to celebrate Zoie Tannous ’16, who is touring the country with the national tour of Clue Live on Stage, currently in California for March!

She shared that what excites her most about touring is the opportunity to spend 10 months making people laugh. In a time when the world can feel heavy, she loves being part of 80 minutes of lighthearted, slapstick, farce-filled comedy that gives audiences a joyful escape. She also loves the ensemble energy working with her castmates and exploring her role as Yvette, a character she describes as smart, savvy, underestimated, and full of secrets.

Reflecting on her time at Chaminade, she credits the high-level performance experience and audition training she received, from building her audition book to studying techniques that gave her confidence heading into college and beyond. Her experience as Co-Head of Scenic also gave her a valuable behind-the-scenes perspective that continues to serve her on tour. And perhaps most importantly, the time management skills she developed balancing rehearsals, crew, and academics have prepared her well for the fast-paced rhythm of touring life.

Last weekend, we proudly celebrated an unforgettable Alumni Hall of Fame ceremony, honoring five extraordinary alumni who embody leadership, service, character, and excellence.

Among this year’s inductees:

🇺🇸 Dana Gemmingen ‘88, A United States Marine Corps veteran who continues to serve beyond the uniform, giving back tirelessly to the veteran community.

🎨 Tommy Hollenstein ‘78, A gifted artist whose work inspires, challenges, and uplifts all who experience it.

🏈 Terrell Newby II ‘13, A standout football player who excelled in high school and at the collegiate level, now serving in the military while pursuing his calling to become a chaplain in the United States Army.

🥎 Taylor White ‘14, A remarkable softball player who shined in high school and college and now leads from the sidelines as a coach, mentoring the next generation with strength and integrity.

⚡ Jit Bhattacharya ‘96, An innovative engineer making transformative strides in Africa through groundbreaking work in electric vehicle development.

Each honoree represents the very best of our alumni community—living examples of service, perseverance, and purpose. We are incredibly proud to celebrate their achievements and the lasting impact they continue to make around the world.

Today we celebrated Marianist Heritage day under the theme, “Inspired by our Founders: One Mission, Igniting Family Spirit.” Reimagined from our long standing Founders Day tradition, the celebration honored our founders while highlighting the faith, joy, and family spirit that unite the Chaminade community 💙🧡

Congratulations to this year’s founders, Jill Stewart, Jenni Porter, and Julie LaBelle Sprouse, for 25 years of dedicated service, along with the Fritz B. Burns Foundation for its generous support of Chaminade.
