Last night, we welcomed nearly 200 parents and alumni parents to campus for our annual senior tzitzit tying event! ✨ This rite of passage invites the  parents of our seniors to help prepare the tallitot that their children will receive during our graduation ceremony. 

This evening is filled with meaningful connections to our school and its history. Our alumni parents, representing all of our past graduating classes dating back to 2006, not only participate in a special candle lighting ceremony, but also act as guides and partners for tying the tzitzit.

AND if that weren’t enough connection—we are also so lucky to be able to welcome back Rabbi Vorspan, our schools OG Rabbi, to provide education and wisdom behind the tallitot, as well as Bonnie Vorspan who does an in-depth tutorial on the tying itself!

It’s one of our favorite nights of the year and we’re so grateful to our Alumni Parent Association for making it possible. ❤️

In honor of this huge accomplishment, throughout the month of May we will be spotlighting each upcoming dTHS graduate! (You may notice we are going in reverse alphabetical order—a treat for our students who will have to do some waiting on Graduation Day itself. 😅)
