Our Goals:

To strengthen the arts so that it can reach its full potential as civic resource in the Delta and enhance the positive image of the area. To stimulate awareness and appreciation of the arts through changing exhibitions, lectures, classes and workshops that strengthen interpretive ability and interactive creativity for both children and adults. To establish Helena-West Helena as a preem

inent artistic community in the Delta that attracts residents and visitors to an artistic experience of diversity, uniqueness and excellence. To pursue and establish a funding structure for the arts in the Delta through civic grants and private donations. To create new opportunities for beginning, emerging and established artists in which to exhibit and develop the language of their work.

Our paint party participants always bring it-fun, laughter, creativity, and comradary. We painted lighthouses in June. Another paint party is in the works for late September TBA.

Camp Doodlebug Art camp was a month ago, and the children never cease to amaze the teachers with their creativity.
Laura Miller's project was watercolor & oil pastel resistant underwater scene.
Vivian Hoskins' project was a gumball machine.
Sara Moore's project was a Keith Haring inspired journal.
Elizabeth Hensley's project was a children inspired watercolor resistant painting.
Candace Dolls project was a corn husk doll.

Led by students and staff from the University of Arkansas, this week-long workshop will focus on building skills for those interested in visual art and design. We’ll have fun creating and learning together! This workshop is a must for any student (ages 12-20) interested in expanding their creative skillsets and discovering creative career paths. The ADAP Board welcomes its newest member, Laura Miller! Laura received her BFA in graphic design from Memphis College of Art. She works remotely as a software engineer for Curai Health, a Telehealth company based in San Francisco, as well as teaches printmaking and typography at Phillips Community College. Her knowledge and expertise will be a valuable asset to ADAP's mission to promote the arts in the Arkansas Delta. Welcome, Laura!
