Dennis J. Kerwin 1955-2020 Dennis J. Kerwin, 65, of Old Lyme, CT passed away at home on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on April 14, 1955 in Hartford. He was the son of the late James T. Kerwin and Irene B. Kerwin. He attended The Robinson School and graduated in 1974, and completed some college education at Dean Junior College. He worked alongside his father in the construction industry and eventually started his own business, Kerwin Construction Services in the late 1980’s. He was an extremely hard worker and had experience in all aspects of construction. His true passion was sport fishing and boating, having built and owned many over the years. He lived and died by the sea. He took numerous trips up and down the East Coast from Nova Scotia to Key West in pursuit of his love of boating. He spent many summers at White Sands Beach growing up, and always enjoyed being on the water or near the water. He enjoyed spending time at Martha’s Vineyard and more recently, Block Island. His greatest qualities were his sense of humor, his gift of gab, and his generosity. He was an adoring father, softball and basketball coach, and avid sports enthusiast. He attended several Daytona 500 races, and was formerly a Giants fan until the Patriots came to Foxboro. He is survived by his loving wife Karen and son James Kerwin of Old Lyme, CT, daughter, Marissa Carignan and her husband Blair, and precious granddaughter Sloane of Waterford, CT; sisters, Jeanne LeBlanc of Enfield, CT, Kathy Cox and her husband James of Enfield, CT, and Maureen Domenicone and her husband David of Wellesley, MA; aunt, Joanne Beard of Enfield, CT; nieces and nephews, Brittany, Jenna, and Alexia Cox, Matthew and David LeBlanc, and Mila and Cooper Domenicone.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 11:00am in Christ the King Church, 1 McCurdy Rd., Old Lyme, CT. Paul Edward Steben, 61, of West Hartford, beloved husband of Donna (Vignone) Steben, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2018. He was born on April 8, 1957 in Hartford, CT, son of the late Roland O. and Mary (Celeo) Steben. Paul grew up in East Hartford and attended Robinson School in West Hartford. He married the love of his life in 1982 and together, they lived in West Hartford where they raised their family. Paul was the current owner, along with his brothers, of Steben Auto Body and Glass. Along with his wife, Paul leaves behind his son, Nicholas Paul Steben of West Hartford; daughter, Juliana Mary Greenberg and husband Matthew of Jersey City, NJ; brothers, David R. Steben and Marianne Cirullo of Farmington; Peter T. Steben and wife Christine of Simsbury, and sister, Laura Ann Steben VanVelkinburgh and husband Keith of Silverthorne, CO; sister-in-laws, Lucille Vignone Frazier and husband Jeff of Parker, CO; Sonya Schoell of Portland; and nieces and nephews, Meredith Steben, Jeremy Steben, Alexandra Schoell and Brendan Schoell. He also leaves behind many other relatives, dear friends and his Golden Retriever, Lola. He spent his summers at White Sand Beach in Old Lyme where he was most happy on the water, sailing, boating and fishing. He loved to ski, read and watch the Red Sox. He had a great love for food and above all, he was most proud of his children. Paul was a caring person with a big heart who always had a joke to share and a story to tell. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be Monday, October 15, 2018 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 872 Farmington Ave. West Hartford. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Friends and family may call Sunday from 1-5 pm at Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave., West Hartford. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving to Connecticut Children's Medical Center Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes in memory of Paul E. Steben. Robert P. Sanzo, 62, of New Britain passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017. Born in West Hartford, he lived in New Britain before moving to Kensington for 28 years and returned to New Britain two years ago. He was a graduate of Robinson Prep and Roger Williams College, formerly worked at Commercial Plumbing Supply for many years, and later owned Executive Security Associates for five years.

Surviving are his parents, Peter and Adeline (Gagliardi) Sanzo of New Britain; a son, Peter “PJ” Sanzo and his fiancée, Heather Klein, of Enfield; a daughter, Joy Sanzo of Middletown; a sister, Judi Sanzo and her husband, Mitchell Dembin, of San Diego, Calif. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Sanzo.
Funeral services were private and entombment was in St. Mary Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Boys & Girls Club of New Britain, 150 Washington St., New Britain, CT 06051 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
