Dear families and friends,

Our school has always been more than a place for lessons. It has been a community, one built on connection, care, and showing up for one another when it matters most.

Today, one of our own needs us.

On January 12, tragedy struck the Pregenzer
family without warning. Tania, a devoted mother, suddenly lost her husband Gerard — a loving father, partner, and provider — to a cardiac arrest at just 47 years old. In one unimaginable moment, life as they knew it changed forever.

Mario (9) and Dino (10) lost their dad far too soon. A dad who should still be packing lunches, cheering from the sidelines, helping with homework, and being there for all the ordinary, irreplaceable moments that make childhood feel safe. Tania lost her life partner, the person with whom she shared dreams, responsibilities, and the weight of everyday life.

No words can truly ease this kind of loss. But community can help carry it.

Right now, Tania is doing the hardest thing a parent can do: holding herself together for her children while her own heart is breaking. Grief does not pause bills, responsibilities, or the practical realities of life. That is where we, as a community, can step in.

This GoFundMe is a way for us to wrap this family in tangible love. A way to help provide stability, time to grieve, and breathing room as Tania focuses on what matters most: her boys.

If you are able to give, please know that no amount is too small. If you are unable to donate, sharing this message is also an act of kindness. What matters is that Tania and her children feel that they are not alone.

Let us show Mario and Dino that even in the darkest moments, there is light. That their father’s passing did not leave them without a village. That love can show up in many forms.

Thank you for being the kind of community that cares not just in music and learning, but in humanity.

With gratitude and hope,
Mirela
