🎤🇮🇱 Move over, Eurovision – AmiraiVision has arrived!

Our Amirim (8th grade) students brought Israel’s greatest Eurovision hits to life with incredible ruach and enthusiasm! The vibe was electric and the crowd couldn’t stop cheering for their unforgettable performance.

🎉 Mazal tov to Zoe L. and her entire family on her upcoming Bat Mitzvah!

Zoe read Torah beautifully yesterday during tefillah, surrounded by friends and supported by Rabbi Chatinover. This moment was especially meaningful not only because Rabbi Chatinover also taught Zoe's mother when she was a Schechter student, but Rabbi Chatinover's son, Schechter alumnus Rabbi Jacob Chatinover, was visiting campus and joined our community for tefillah too!

We love seeing these connections across generations of Schechter students, alumni, families, and faculty. Wishing Zoe and her family a meaningful and joyous simcha! 💙

Our almost-graduates were up before dawn to head out on their trip to Canada! Wishing our 8th graders a fantastic experience!!

It's usually the 8th graders who are buddies with our Kindergarten (Ilanot) students for science projects, baking, art, and more! Every once in a while, other classes also get to mentor the littles! Last week, 5th grade also got in on the action, helping with an art project!

Todah rabah to our fantastic Parent Association (PA) for making the faculty and staff feel so appreciated last week! Teacher Appreciation Week was filled with great food, heartfelt cards, thoughtful gifts, and TLC!

This time of year, we love to celebrate our 8th graders and all their special Schechter moments! Everyone had a blast at the 8th grade vs. faculty basketball game, a longstanding Schechter tradition! The younger students cheer for their favorite "big kids" or for the teachers and administrators who give it their all on the court.

Our 7th graders are engaged in deep learning, conversation, and fun as they explore Philadelphia and the concepts behind democracy. In addition to the traditional favorite Philly spots of Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, they will attend 1776 the Musical and participate in conversations about democracy, learning to respectfully disagree, and the importance of community. Yesterday they played a round of historical mini-golf! Todah rabah to Tivnu: Building Justice for putting together an outstanding program. We can't wait to learn from our students when they return!

We loved celebrating Dor L'Dor Day, a special morning of learning and bringing generations of our Schechter community together. The smiles were ear-to-ear as families welcomed Shabbat and experienced a taste of Schechter!
