Yesterday afternoon, our Hartt Suzuki Institute faculty shared their artistry in a beautiful Faculty Recital, followed by a wonderful evening together at our annual faculty dinner.

Sometimes, at your very first Institute, especially when you're only 4 years old, the best way to begin is by simply observing.

As parents and teachers, it's easy to worry when a child isn't ready to participate physically. But one of the beautiful principles of the Suzuki philosophy is that children learn so much through observation. They are listening, watching, absorbing, and growing—even when it doesn't look like they're "doing."

Today was a BIG success for this little guy! 💙 He took an important step in his own time, and we couldn't be more proud of him. 🌟

Sonatas and Concertos at HSI! 🎻🎶

Have you ever dreamed of performing one of your favorite pieces with a real, live orchestra?

On Monday afternoon, students at the Hartt Suzuki Institute experienced that dream firsthand! Accompanied by our incredible institute faculty and Teacher Workshop participants serving as the orchestra, students had the unique opportunity to perform their concertos and sonatas in a truly inspiring musical setting.

Monday at HSI was just as exciting as our opening day! From trumpet at 8:30 a.m. to students performing with the orchestra at 5:00 p.m., everyone was all in. The energy, enthusiasm, and dedication were on full display all day long.
And to top it all off... the Tooth Fairy even made a special overnight visit to one of our students! 🦷✨

What a fantastic way to kick off another great week at HSI!
