Piano lessons are starting a little later than usual this school year for a very good reason! This past week my daughter graduated from Basic Training at Fort Sill. While the local students were headed off to their first day of school, my family and I were on a plane headed to Oklahoma. It was great for us to be able to be together and celebrate this moment. Now my daughter is headed off for more training, and I'm back at home missing her, but ready to start teaching again.

Last night I sang at a vocal recital at my alma mater, the Hartt School at the University of Hartford. When I attended there many years ago my main instrument was the piano, but I have always been in and directed choirs. This was the first time singing a solo at Millard Auditorium. It felt like a full circle moment. Thank you to my teacher, Liz Miller, for all of your guidance and support!
