What effective preschools aim for is “guided play” or “scaffolded play,” in which adults create a purposeful play environment that encourages student exploration.

PTYCP believes in a child's ability to learn, grow, and achieve his or her greatest potential. By collaborating with families and by providing developmentally appropriate practices, we become a partnership which recognizes the fundamentals of early learning. Our goal is to nurture and encourage the learning process across developmental domains for every unique individual.

You may have heard the news about Rocky. Sadly, he passed away a few weeks ago. He was a friendly fish, and would swim to the front of the tank when our preschoolers arrived to school! Thank you, Rocky, for making our days more interesting, and for teaching us how to care for a fish.
There’s a new friend at PTYCP. Meet Strawberry! Strawberry came to live with my family a little over a year ago. She outgrew her small tank and needed a new home. So far, she is loving her new space. Everyone happily welcomed her to preschool.

These s’mores were so much fun to make! Make some at home; perfect for camping play, rainy day, or just because!
🌟 chocolate melts ( we used our small crockpot)
🌟 large marshmallows
🌟 graham crackers (in ziplock bag)
🌟 paper straws
🌟 plate

Use those hands and fingers to crush the graham cracker in bag. Poor into plate.
Press straw in center of marshmallow.
Use straw to hold and dip marshmallow in melted chocolate.
Roll marshmallow through graham crumbs.
ENJOY!
