Operating as usual

Join us today for the final workshop of the semester where we will raise the stakes from our first meeting on properly citing sources. Building off the popular writing manual They Say/I Say, we will practice how to best position your argument within a larger debate on your topic that includes your sources and an audience beyond your class. Some of the goals of imagining writing as a conversation are to clarify your own argument while demonstrating its wider importance and to show a deeper engagement with the ideas in your sources.

The workshop will be held this evening from 6-7pm in room 140 and there will be Halloween candy!

Do you need to learn when and how to cite sources? Do you have questions about avoiding plagiarism? Bring any questions or concerns to our workshop where we will go over writing and research strategies for maintaining academic integrity.

The workshop will be held on September 12th from 6-7pm in Room 140.

The Westchester Writing Center's first workshop of the semester, Academic Integrity and Avoiding Plagiarism, is Wednesday, Sept. 14 from 6-7 pm in Room 228. Please come by to learn how to quote, paraphrase and cite sources correctly!

Are you still working on that final paper? Drop into the Writing Center on Wednesday 4-8 pm, Room 216.
