Summative Assessment Testing is Almost Here for Grades 3-5!

The end-of-year general summative assessments are right around the corner! Our students will be testing May 4th–8th. We want every student to feel confident, rested, and ready to shine. 🌟

Here are some simple ways you can help at home:

⏰ Attendance is Critical!

Please make sure your student is in attendance every day, May 4th–8th. Missing a testing day can significantly impact your child's results.
Please ensure your child arrives on time (7:50 a.m) each morning — testing begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. If possible, avoid scheduling appointments or trips during this week

📩 Parent Testing Letter — We Need Them ASAP!

If you have written your child a letter for testing week, please submit it to the school as soon as possible. Make sure your child’s name is on the envelope or on the letter. Time is running out and we want to make sure everything is in order before testing begins!

😴 Rest & Routine

Make sure your child gets a full night's sleep each night during testing week. Keep bedtime routines consistent — avoid late nights and screen time before bed.

🥣 Fuel Up for Success

Send your child to school with a healthy breakfast — it makes a big difference!
Pack a nutritious lunch and a water bottle to keep energy and focus up.

💬 Encourage, Don't Stress

Remind your child to read each question carefully and take their time. Tell them to try their best — and that's always enough! Positive words go a long way. Avoid putting too much pressure on test results; keep the atmosphere calm at home

✏️ Test-Taking Tips to Share

Skip hard questions and come back to them — don't get stuck!
Use process of elimination on multiple-choice questions.
Check work if there's time remaining before turning in.
Take a deep breath if feeling nervous — it really helps!

A couple of important reminders as we head into the holiday weekend! Students will not have school on Friday, April 3, 2026, due to a staff Professional Learning Day. We hope you and your family enjoy a wonderful and blessed Easter, and don't forget — Spring Break is April 6–10. Enjoy the time off!
