💚 You don’t have to know everything. You need to know how to find the right answer. That’s a big part of what we believe at MCDE.

Guidelines change. Models change. Regulations change. The ability to research, understand the why, think critically, and apply what you know is what stays with you.

Whether it’s exam prep that builds true understanding for your CRC, CDEO, or CVBA exam, or a workshop that strengthens the skills you use in your career, the goal is bigger than memorizing information.

Waiting for my flight home from AAPC Regionals and definitely feeling that bittersweet moment.

I’m going to miss being around the people who fill my cup so I can keep pouring into my students and others. At the same time, I am SO ready to get home to my husband, my daughter, and Bella Bear. 💚

I don’t know if I’ll ever get used to having people I genuinely admire smile when they see me, greet me by name, and support this dream I have of helping more people help patients through value-based care with MCDE. I hope I never do and that I can pay it forward to others.

I was also able to attend some great sessions, including “From Documentation to Delivery: Using SDOH to Power VBC” with Dawn Carter and Stephanie Tam from the AAPC NAB. I’m heading home with new insights and ideas I can bring back to my work, consulting, and education.

And that’s one of my favorite things about events like this. I LOVE learning from the industry experts presenting, but I also learn from the questions, experiences, and perspectives shared by the people sitting in the room.

None of us knows everything. We all bring different experiences, expertise, and perspectives to the table. When we share them, ask questions, and learn from each other, we all get better.

And ultimately, our patients benefit from that. We really are all in this together. 💚

What a privilege it was to speak at AAPC’s HealthCon Regionals on things I am so passionate about, risk adjustment coding and value based care! I love an opportunity to hopefully be helpful to others in our industry. 💚 I’m so grateful for the great conversations and the support from friends, Dawn, Kelly, Victoria, Michele, Nicole and Amber to name a few.

Every time I present, virtually or on stage, there’s still that excitement of wondering what will happen, where the conversation will go, and what I might learn. I love that speaking has become such a big part of my new comfort zone I’ve been building, especially knowing younger me never would have imagined this. And let’s be honest…when else would I get to wear a cute dress?

✈️ Regionals, here I come!

I’m also trying something new today… using the Sky Lounge ALL BY MYSELF for the first time. 😂 Apparently I’m officially fancy now. Or at least this passenger princess is pretending I know what I’m doing. 😆

Can’t wait for a few days of learning, connecting, laughing, and catching up with some of my favorite people in this industry!
