UPDATE: Los Angeles County Fire Department chief now confirms a firefighter has been killed and a captain wounded in this morning's shooting at fire station 81. Yesterday memebers of the EMT class at City of Zeigler Fire Department got to spend time with Air Evac Lifeteam 35 - Marion, IL and Abbott EMS Franklin County. The students were able to learn about career options and how the air medical and ground medical services work together to provide access to definitive care during a patients time of need. In addition, Adrienne M. Mason - Country Financial Insurance provided dinner for the class and spoke with them about , a program designed to provide funding to first responder agencies for operations and supplies.
