Happy Feature Friday, everyone~ This week we have this sheep treadmill for you. The use of treadmills to grind flour or pump water wasn’t unheard of centuries ago. While a windmill can work the same, having an animal run on the treadmill was something that could be set up inside a barn. On the other hand, it was often more limited in how much power it could output, depending on its size. Bigger models were able to work with horses or oxen, with some types being connected to generators to generate electricity.

It's that time of the week for "What is it Wednesday?"
For today's item can you identify whose signature is in the picture? And since I have the feeling you probably can, what is your guess on what document the person was signing?
I will post the answer and more pictures after the correct guess or before next weeks post!

Let's kick the week off with a little learning and another "Did You Know?"
This is a pretty familiar story but it is interesting enough to highlight again. In November of 1902 Theodore Roosevelt was on a bear hunting trip in Missouri. Theodore’s luck was in the bear’s favor and not his. He had not located a single bear yet. Other men in the party had cornered a black bear and tied it to a tree for Theodore to shoot.
As a respectable outdoorsman, he considered it extremely unsportsmanlike and refused to shoot the bear. News of the story quickly spread through the country. Morris Michtom, a Brooklyn candy shop owner, saw a cartoon and got an idea to create a stuffed toy bear and name it after the president who refused to shoot the bear.
After Theodore gave permission to use his name Michtom produced the toy bears that were given the moniker, Teddy Bears!

Happy Feature Friday, everyone~ This week we have this ticket from the Fargo, North Dakota AirSho from 1989, for the North Dakota Centennial celebrations. This was the first time the Fargo AirSho took place, with everything from B-25s to Thunderbirds in flight, and demonstrations from military units, including North Dakota’s 119th Wing, the Happy Hooligans. With attendance from across the country and even Canada, the Fargo AirSho remains a wildly popular event even now.
