I am missing those sweet smiles and their families! (A new Super Pigs comes out soon - like next week- and then I am going to find us a time and place so we can get together and read them all again!! And talk about how I feel about jetpacks.)
Missing you guys so much! 💚

😭😭😭😭😭 16 years owning, 19 years working here... The last of the shelves will be out tonight.
On a happier note:. It's time to schedule some preschool playdates!! I will be in touch next week!!
Thank you. From the bottom of my heart for sharing your child and your family with me for the last 16 years. (19, if you're an original from when I started in 2003!) I can't tell you how much I have loved every minute of getting to know your child, as well as you! Wow.. I love those kids! They teach me as much as I teach them, I think :) Many life lessons have been learned by me while in the classroom with them.
I've told the kids every year and many times that our last days do not mean that we aren't friends anymore, it just means that we don't see each other as often. I love hearing stories about how when they got to kindergarten they had a preschool friend in their class, so that new beginning was a little less scary. Or how they find out they are on the same swim team as a preschool friend, even though it's been a few years since they've seen each other. My heart is always a little bit happier after running into you guys "in the wild" and getting a minute to catch up and grab a hug. I can't tell you how important these relationships are to me.
Honestly, most of my tears aren't about closing. It's about the support, love, your children, lessons learned, and relationships built. They're from the multi-year families that came back. They're from the parents that showed me how to parent before I was a mom myself. They're from the teacher-parent relationships that became friendships.
I am so lucky to have met each and every family and privileged to have taught and loved those children.
This year's class was the perfect class to end on. They were like the 3 Musketeers, except there were 21 of them. The relationships between those children is nothing like any other class I've had. Their friendship runs deep. They genuinely care about each other. They are a team. And they amaze me every single day - with their caring, and curiosity (they want to know all the things!), and love for each other. I am lucky to have been in the presence of that. I am going to do everything that I can to keep those friendships together. So-- expect playdates and piggy parties :)
So. Thank you. For everything.
Day 1 of goodbyes. 😭😭😭😭
Your child will tell you I couldn't read the last page of our story because I was crying. They have renamed their graduation book The Crying Story. 🤦🏻♀️
Picnic tonight at Armour Park from 5:30-7! 😀😭
Our SuperPigs Party that was going to be this Wednesday will be next Wednesday, the 25th - we will be missing a friend in class all this week. The kids really want to make sure all their friends can be there, but after I explained that we are running out of days ( :( :'( ), we set the 25th as our must have the party day.
These MWF/Mon-Fri kids! 😍 We have had some friends missing this week & next Wednesday we are planning a SuperPigs Celebration. We are discussing some of our plans and someone said "What if _____ isn't back yet?!?" I asked what they wanted to do if that was the case. The class decided on their own, if we have sick friends on SuperPigs Day, we will move the party to Friday and hopefully everyone is here. They want to keep moving it, so no one misses out.
Our end of year picnic will be Tuesday, May 24 from 5:30-7 at Armour Park! Sign ups are coming home today/tomorrow!
We will be finishing out the year with Our Favorite Things. In the comments on this post, I will share books we read. Seeing the books may help you make sense of some of the projects we bring home :)
Beach parties tomorrow and Friday!!
