Let’s keep our learners safe!

As the new school year approaches, let's prioritize the safety of our community by driving carefully around school zones.

Here are some tips to keep in mind:
🚗 Follow the speed limits: Always adhere to the posted speed limits near schools.
🛑 Stop completely at crosswalks: Ensure you come to a full stop at all crosswalks, especially when children are present.
🚶 Watch for pedestrians: Be vigilant for children crossing the street, even outside of designated crosswalks or intersections.
🚍 Respect school buses: Never pass a bus that is loading or unloading children.
🤚 Maintain a safe distance from school buses: Stop at least 10 feet back from a school bus to allow children to safety enter and exit the bus.

Hello, Brooks Harbor families! 👋

With school starting this week, I wanted to introduce myself. I’m Alayna Smith, and excited to be joining the PTO Board this year as Secretary.

I grew up in Wahpeton, but have called Fargo home with my husband, Todd, for more than 20 years. We have been part of the Brooks Harbor community for the past four years and have two kids, Mayson, who is heading into 2nd grade, and Avery, who is 3.

I’ve worked in the travel industry for most of my career, which has definitely fueled our family’s travel bug and each year, we try to find a new destination to explore together!

I look forward to getting to know many of you and seeing you at upcoming events. Here’s to a great school year ahead! 🧡💙

Back-to-School is approaching quickly and we wanted to introduce our PTO board for the 2026-2027 school year and tell you a little about each of us along with one of our elementary school pictures for fun! 😃

3 of our 4 board members are returning and we would like to welcome our newest member, Alayna Smith!

My name is Tracey Faltersack and I'm excited to be your PTO Treasurer this school year! Previously, I held the role of Vice President for the past two years.

I grew up in Larimore, ND (go Polar Bears! 🐻‍❄️) and have lived in West Fargo for 15 years.

Outside of being a mom and a part of the PTO, I work full time as an Accounts Payable Specialist for Ulteig in Fargo. I have 2 kids at Brooks Harbor, Landon (5th) and Harper (Kinder).

I can't wait to meet all of you at the upcoming back-to-school events! 🧡💙
