Welcome to school year 2026-2027, Packers!

Nobody runs a first day of school pep rally like West Fargo High!

The district was projected to see 13,493 students for the 2026-2027 school year, according to a press release issued near the end of the first day Thursday, Aug. 27.

Picture day will take place the first 2 days of school. Sophomores and Juniors will have their pictures taken on August 27 and Freshmen, on August 28. You can order your photos ahead of time! Enter code K69JP7 here: www.scherling.preorderphotos.com

Parking permits are $15 and can be purchased through MySchoolBucks using a debit or credit card, or in the main office with cash or check. You will need to provide your license plate number to receive your permit.

Students may not park in staff or visitor parking. Vehicles parked in these areas will be ticketed. After 3 parking tickets, your vehicle may be towed.

Permits are $15, and parking tickets are $15. If a ticket is not paid within 10 days, the cost will increase to $20.

Parking tickets are considered school obligations. All parking-related obligations must be paid before students can attend dances or prom or participate in graduation.

The 9th Grade Kick-Off event is tomorrow, August 20 from 12:30pm - 3:00pm.
This is a student only event. Students will receive their new iPads, see their schedules, and receive help from upper classmen and teachers regarding what to expect in their 9th Grade year.
