Dundee Scottish Pipe Band

Dundee Scottish Bagpipe Band. Pipe and Drum band based in West Dundee, IL. Free lessons. We take pride in carrying our heritage forward.

The Dundee Scottish Pipe Band was founded in 2010 by a small group of bagpipers, several of whom had begun playing with the community high school marching bands, The Dundee Scots and The Imperial Scots. These organizations were a beloved part of the community, and offered character building, music education, and scholarship opportunities to area youth throughout the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s

. The Dundee Scottish Pipe Band has taken its marching band roots and the Scottish heritage of its home, and rebuilt an organization which fosters teamwork, youth education, and a drive for excellence as Dundee’s first competition pipe band. The band offers free bagpipe lessons and free drum lessons. We enjoy playing in community events such as parades, charity events, and we are available for hire for other various gigs.

We weren’t able to make the trip as a band this year, but seeing these two represent Dundee so well makes us excited to (hopefully!) all be there next year.

Our band had a wonderful time competing in the Chicago Highland Games this weekend! We are also proud to have had several of our band members participate in the solo competitions and contribute to the Friday games.

A big shoutout to everyone who helped make the event such a success. From the organizers and volunteers to the competitors, vendors, and spectators, we appreciate all the hard work and support that went into a fantastic weekend.

A strong start to the season at the Milwaukee Highland Games!

Our band took 3rd Place (grade 4) and Best Midsection. Congratulations to Ian on his 1st Place tenor solo and Best Midsection honors also with Chicago Celtic grade 3. Tim and Lillian also competed in piping solos, and Michael made his competition field debut. Well done!!

Thank you to everyone who helped make it a great day. We’re excited to keep the season rolling and look forward to seeing everyone next weekend at the Chicago Scots Chicago Highland Games.
