Motorists will see additional enforcement along I-85 and I-95 over the next few days as the SC State Transport Police participates in Operation SafeDRIVE (Distracted Reckless Impaired Visibility Enforcement), a multi-state enforcement effort geared toward reducing commercial motor vehicle collisions and unsafe driving behaviors around commercial motor vehicles.

The State Transport Police will work with law enforcement partners, focusing on all traffic violations with a special emphasis on dangerous and distracted driver behaviors, vehicle compliance checks, and criminal interdiction.

Motorists across South Carolina will notice increased law enforcement presence this week as the SC State Transport Police participates in Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance's (CVSA) Operation Safe Driver Week.

This multi-state education and enforcement efforts place an emphasis on promoting safe driving habits in and around commercial motor vehicles.

The State Transport Police will join local law enforcement agencies to reduce dangerous driving behaviors, such as such as speeding, distracted driving, and impaired driving.
