Our WKE families have been showing up BIG for our NexTrex Recycling Challenge! 💚 We’ve already collected OVER 200 POUNDS of plastic bags and film toward our 1,000 lb goal—and we’re making great progress toward earning a FREE recycled bench for WKE! 🪑🌎

So...DON’T THROW THOSE BAGS AWAY! 😁 Save your:

🛍️ Plastic grocery & store bags
🥬 Produce bags
🍞 Bread bags
🥣 Cereal box liners
📦 Case overwrap (like the plastic around cases of water bottles)
🥪 Ziploc & other reclosable bags
📬 Amazon bubble mailers
♻️ Other approved plastic bags & film

Drop them off in our NexTrex collection bins outside the front of WKE or inside the school lobby.

🚨 One BIG reminder: Everything MUST be CLEAN & DRY!

Ever feel like you've aged prematurely by the time you make it through the afternoon car line? 🚗😅

Well, buckle up, because we've got the cure! 🎉

Enter the White Knoll Elementary PTO Skip the Car Line Raffle for your chance to become one of TWO lucky families who get to wave goodbye to the afternoon pickup line for the rest of the school year!

A long-awaited PTO project is finally complete! 🎉

One of our goals from last school year has officially crossed the finish line!

When our gaga ball pit was installed in 2024, we quickly realized that dirt and grass just weren't the best playing surface. Between the dust on dry days and the mud after rain, we knew it needed an upgrade.

This spring, WKE PTO purchased brand-new rubber flooring mats to create a cleaner, safer, and more enjoyable space for our students. Today, thanks to the incredible generosity of our business sponsor Fowler Hauling & Grading, the area was leveled, a gravel base was installed, and the new flooring was put into place.

A HUGE thank you also goes out to our amazing PTO volunteers and their families who spent part of their day working in this South Carolina heat 🥵 to disassemble the gaga pit, install and connect all of the flooring mats, and reassemble everything. Your hard work and dedication to our school are so appreciated!

Projects like this are only possible because of the support of our families, volunteers, and business partners. ❤️

We can't wait to see our Timberwolves back on campus enjoying their new and improved Gaga Ball Pit this school year! We have a feeling it's going to be a favorite recess spot all over again! 🐺
