It’s great to hear Superintendent Runyan from the Charter Institute at Erskine discuss School Choice and how Charter Schools are having success across South Carolina. Gray Collegiate was highlighted numerous times by Mr Runyan and the WIS-TV team and our own Dr Newsome was selected for an interview as well. As we prepare for an exciting new school year, we want to help make arrival and dismissal as smooth and safe as possible for everyone.

📍 Below, you'll find the traffic patterns and drop-off/pick-up instructions for each Gray Collegiate Academy campus. Please take a few moments to review the information for your student's campus before the first day of school.

Following these procedures helps keep traffic moving efficiently and, most importantly, ensures the safety of our students, families, and staff.

Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and partnership as we kick off another great year. We can't wait to welcome our War Eagles back to campus!

Gray Collegiate Academy families, we’re excited to welcome our students back for the first day of school tomorrow, August 4! We can’t wait to kick off an amazing 2026–2027 school year.

⏰ Please arrive early so students are in their classrooms and ready to learn before the instructional day begins.

Instructional Day Begins At:

🏫 West Columbia and Irmo Campuses

* 5th Grade: 7:55 AM (Irmo only)
* 6th Grade: 7:55 AM
* 7th & 8th Grade: 7:55 AM
* High School: 7:40 AM

🏫 Columbia Campus

* Kindergarten: 7:30 AM
* 1st, 3rd & 4th Grades: 7:30 AM
* 2nd & 5th Grades: 7:30 AM
