The CBISD Shooting Team was recognized at the June School Board Meeting for their outstanding performance at the 2026 Texas FFA State Competition.
The team earned an incredible three State Championships in Doubles Trap, claiming the State Champion Male Team, State Champion Female Team, and State Champion Mixed Team titles. These victories highlight the depth of talent throughout the program and solidify Columbia-Brazoria FFA as one of the premier shooting sports programs in Texas.
In Singles Trap, the team continued its success with a 2nd Place Female Team, 3rd Place Mixed Team, and 5th Place Male Team finish.
The success carried over into Sporting Clays, where Columbia-Brazoria FFA earned 3rd Place Mixed Team, 4th Place Male Team, and 5th Place Female Team honors. The team also excelled in Super Sporting Clays, earning a 2nd Place Mixed Team finish against some of the state’s best competitors.
High school team members representing Columbia-Brazoria FFA at the state competition included seniors Jenna Ringgold and Shane Davis, junior Brody Leal, sophomores Skyla Vice, Regan Henry and Coby Ringgold, and freshmen McCoy Barnett, Anthony Gamboa, Ashton Reed, Hagen Weber. CBFFA was also represented by its largest group of members from West Brazos Junior High, including Braylee Anderson, Lane Gotcher, Tanner LaFleur, Aubree Stevenson, Eli Tribble, and Devlen West.
