Interesting that there is a difference in outcomes based on location (Tennessee vs Massachusetts) To me this points to levels of structural racism including conscious and unconscious bias be factored into this research. I live in SC, have worked in the schools here and the emotional environment for Black children in schools where upwards of 90% of the staff don’t look like them and identify as Christian conservatives is toxic and dis affirming. Although I’m glad they’re finally seeing that licensure, certification do not equate to quality.
