That's a wrap on the first official week of school in the 2026-27 school year! We had a lot of fun beginning classes, going on connect retreats, and ending the week with a Football victory!

We hope to see you tonight at our first home football game of the year! If you followed along with our For Generations to Come capital campaign, you may recognize that the new turf fields and renovations in the White Chapel are a continuation of our ongoing strategic master campus plan. These upgrades represent an investment in our student-athletes' lives and a place for our community to gather, support, and encourage one another. We are so grateful to everyone who has partnered with us to improve these spaces. If you’d like to know more about our campus plan, contact the Wheaton Academy Development Team.

This morning, students will gather for the first chapel service of the school year. Our 2026-27 year verse is John 13:34-35:

"So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

Connect Retreats Part 2:

In the afternoon, all the classes came together for an assembly. Faculty and staff put on a fun skit highlighting the school's themes of relationships, excellence, and service and played a few games.

Afterwards, we transitioned into a time of worship and prayer as a student body. In addition to their class calls of Show Up, Step Up, Rise Up, and Own Up, they were reminded to LOOK UP at Christ's example.

We are excited to see how God works in our school community this year as we learn, grow, and worship together!

Yesterday morning, each class gathered for a time of fellowship and community building together designed to set them up for the call on their year:

We loved welcoming the Class of 2030 at Freshman Orientation yesterday morning! A special thanks to Project IX, our team of dedicated student leaders who guided the freshmen around campus and will continue to walk alongside them as they transition into high school.

Last night, members of the Wheaton Academy community gathered for a Back to School Worship Night & Head of School Installation. We were able to welcome and hear from our New Head of School, Mike Rogers, and open the 2026-2027 school year in prayer.

Mike encouraged our community to remain steadfast in Christ through every season, every day. We are so excited to begin the school year next week. Join us in prayer as we approach the start to another year developing student growth in relationships, excellence, and service. Soli Deo Gloria.
