Captain Barrington Irving Jr., a Jamaican-born aviator, made history as the first Black pilot to fly solo around the world. At just 23 years old, he completed the ambitious journey in 97 days, demonstrating remarkable skill, determination, and courage.

Irving built and flew his own single-engine plane, becoming both the youngest person and the first African American to accomplish this feat. His achievement not only set a world record but also broke barriers in the field of aviation, inspiring countless young people to pursue their dreams.
